Easy TCA Skin Peel
Our range of skin peels are medical grade peels and can only be carried out by trained doctors and nurses. They are not available in the high street and should not be confused with very mild and gentle glycolic peels available from beauty therapists.
It is an ideal treatment for:
- Age spots
- Reduction of freckles or superficial blemishes
- A poor sluggish complexion
- Weathered and sun-damaged skin
- Correct uneven skin pigmentation
- Treat acne and soften the appearance of scars caused by acne
- Reduced or eliminate fine lines under the eyes and around the mouth
How is treatment administered?
The procedure involves a chemical solution that is applied to the skin. The solution causes the layer of skin to separate and peel off. The new regenerated skin underneath is usually smoother, less wrinkled and more even in both tone and colour than the old skin.
How long does the treatment take?
Typically the skin is first thoroughly cleansed. Then your doctor will carefully apply the TCA solution. You may feel a slight stinging sensation as the peel solution is applied, but the feeling will quickly pass. Pain medication is not required as TCA is also a mild anesthetic. When the desired depth is achieved, a Post Peel Mask cream will be applied. This will neutralize the burning sensation. An immediate flushing and areas of frosted skin result but this returns to its normal color in 15 to 45 minutes.
The Skin Tech TCA peel is washed off the following morning with gentle soap and water. A Skin Tech Purifying Cream is provided and applied twice a day. Makeup can be worn and one can resume their normal activities immediately.
A full face TCA peel usually takes no more than 15 minutes.
What can I expect in the week following the Easy TCA Peel?
- slight heat in the skin in the first 2 hours after treatment
- Tightening of the skin in the immediate 2-3 days; superficial layers of the skin may turn dark, become stiff and leathery
- Skin shedding/flaking from day 3 - for 3 or 4 days
- Stay out of the sun for minimum 2 weeks
- Wear high Sun Protection Factor of at least 30SPF for minimum of 2 weeks
How many time is the peel repeated?
The Easy TCA peel is repeated once a week over 4 consecutive weeks to achieve the desired effects.
Can I expect my skin to immediately improve after the treatment?
Depending on the severity of your sun damaged skin, you should expect moderate improvement in your appearance immediately. During the following several months, continued skin improvement will occur with the stimulation of new collagen resulting in smoother skin texture.
Are there any expected restriction following the treatmen?
One can resume normal daily activities with some restrictions such as avoiding exposure to sunlight and prevention of tanning with recommended use of sunscreen or sunblock.
Patients who have received TCA chemical peels will be sensitive to the sun, and therefore it is crucial to properly protect the skin.

Easy TCA Peel can be used on all types of skin e.g. fine skin, normal skin or greasy or thick skin. It can also be used safely and effectively on black and Asian skin.
Possible side-effects:
- All products have a potential for allergic reactions. It is important that you inform the doctor of any allergies you may have.
- Transient reactions may include redness, itchiness, dryness and in some cases mild swelling.
- It is common for most patients to experience transient hyperpigmentation. This will settle during the course of treatments and with use of the appropriate treatment creams and sun
protection. - Although very rare, there may be in some cases a risk of blistering.
